In the garden

There is so much beauty in the summertime.

The gardens are full of it:

Flowers like white cups of sunshine:

Purple bachelor buttons, full of character and a delicate beauty all their own:

(I'm not sure if anything is in focus here, but somehow I still really like this photo)

Chives with purple flowers like crinkly pom-poms:

And the catalpa tree, holding forth its flowers like clumps of fringed pearls:

Where do you see beauty?

Four Seasons in One

I would never have thought it possible. How in the world could I capture a picture that accurately shows all four of the seasons at the same time?

But yet, on the first day of this year, I found one:

(This is SOOC, only the contrast is upped a little.)

Spring on the left, with the dripping water and ivy, Summer next to it, with the green yew bush, autumn next right, with the brown leaves suspended in the bush, and then winter on the very right, with the bright snow.

Isn't that cool?

Last Bits of Summer

Okay, a little apologising is in order. I wrote my last blog post from my home right before leaving to college...  and that was about two months ago.

I've been taking pictures left and right here at college, but for some reason I haven't been able to upload them. I'd had this post ready to go since the second week of September, but no matter what I tried I wasn't able to upload the pictures to blogger. Finally I have figured a way out... so now you will be hearing from me again! :D

Well, autumn is here officially, but I've always been one for reminiscing. So here are some little last bits of summer I'd like to share with you.

Rose of sharon:

Yet even in the joy and vibrancy of summer, a little nonstalgia dwells:

I will be posting many more pictures of college life and color soon, so stay posted! :)
